Hi again
Another question with regards to our New Hilux heavily 2.8 modified diesel.. hoping some wonderful genius.. or just experianced person can give us some pointers
Currently we have 4.3 diffs running 35" tyres... but it seems to be labouring in 5th at 100k. And low range also appears to be only semi low........ I think our old Isuzu MU crept along slower :-(
What should we step up to? will 4.88 diffs be to high revving?
Cheers again for the wise advice in advance
Natalie (currently looking for cheap second hand disco rear step)

Hi Natalie,
Having read both your postings have you considered down sizing your 35"tyres to 33".
It would have the dual effects of letting the beast rev out a bit more and at the same time make it a bit easier for vertically challenged people to climb into the cab. (Probably be a bit easier on the pocket too)
Off road ability should not be much affected.
Cheers
Disco

Hmm... still a lot of life left in the 35" ones.. suspect the better half isn't going to want to change down to 33" until they wear out a bit more
He said he wanted to at least check out other options first..
thanks
