Need to replace tyres for cherokee kj, have goodyear wangler 235/70 R16 but no good in the wet on roads. Have heard that coopers discoverer ATR are good for all round and 245/70 R16 can be put on. Any suggestions on these or other brands.

I have the Cooper ATR on my current model Prado and cannot fault them for general running with moderate 4wd work. Good in wet (which is important) and wearing quite
well (about 40% worn at 35,000km).
Mine are a bit bigger than yours (265/70R17) but I reckon they are pretty good allrounder that can take a bit of occasional punishment.

I have got the Cooper AT’s and yes, they are surprisingly good in the Wet.
The ATR’s look a little too Tame for an AT tyre IMO, Will be changing my AT’s over for a set of ST’s shortly, will see how they go.
