The clutch should be fine, depending on KM's done. You could nearly tow a 700kg trailer behind a push bike, you want even know its there

96 pajero (manual) 2.8l TD with 265,000k. Is yours the 3.0l or 3.5l?
The 3.5l petrol has a slightly heavier gear box and drive train than the 3.0l, but have'nt heard of any problems on either.
Used for various towing duties such as trailer (750kg) caravan (1200kg) and trailer sailor (2200kg).
Clutch replaced once at 140,000k, about 3/4 worn, but big trip was coming up so did it just in case. Have had heavy duty clutch put in and still going strong 125,000k later.
No problems towing or with the clutch. I just try not slip it too much and
cook it. Hardly notice the trailer or caravan there. With the boat at a local set of traffic lights where it is a steep takeoff I sometimes drop it into low range until I get to the other side of the traffic lights, stop and change up again. Same on a steep
boat ramp.
