Hi guys / gals,
Getting ready to head up to Fraser /
Rainbow Beach next month. Got to thinking about what my favourite
camping recipies are, and was interested to hear from others. What's the one "camping" recipe you don't leave home without?

OK wouldn't call it a recipe at all but when going
camping I will never leave home without bacon and eggs!
Cheers
Jo

G'day Cherokee,
We give our Cobb a good workout while we are away but despite cooking a whole range of things we always do a damper with dates in it . A bit of butter or marg and some jam, honey or syrup and it is great.
Enjoy Fraser and
Rainbow Beach.

You need your Cobb on Fraser now as you cant have a fire if you
camp on
the beach. Just got back from a week on the Island and used if for 4 nights tea and once you finished cooking it becomes a heater- just leave the lid off and the coals keep you warm.

What!! When did that change. That was one of the highlights of our last trip - after dinner a small fire out in the balmy air. Is it because people were ripping timber out of the scrub??

We tried out a new one last night:
Fruit Cake.
One cup of SR Flour
395 gm can of condensed milk
375 gm packed of mixed fruit
Pinch of salt.
Mix it all together an shove it in the
bedourie in a 9 inch tin.
It is a little dense but yummy. The feral kids wolfed it down in about 10 minutes.
Cheers
Pete
