Trevor R (QLD)
Hi and thanks to the following people for helping me enjoy a fabulous weekend away. Troll81 (both halves to this team), Johnno and Chris, Greg, Bob and last but not least Pezza.
I am sorry if the link to a photobucket page doesn't work but I hope it gives an indication of how much fun we had. I also wish to appologise to those that may be embarrased by two of the photo's in particular (you two know who you are haha).
Cruiser
Park
First time for everything if that link works hahaha.
I encourage others to come out to any future gatherings and enjoy the fun.

Thanks for the write up Trev, I was hoping you would do something...I am pretty hopeless with writing stuff up. What happened to the F truck? looks like we missed some action when we left early
Good times

I'll leave Bob answer that. (I'll give him 1/2hr and if he doesn't tell I will HAHAHAHA)
Nothing too drastic.
I think in the gathering pages there is room for a real rundown on what happened and I am sure David likes a report to be added if you can. Room for 12 more photo's in there also. Only you as the organiser can do this one though LOL.
Did you get Pici's ?
Regards, Trevor.

LOOKS LIKE BOB'S NOT TELLING........
The "F" truck was giving out a strange noise from the front end (so we thought) once we hit the blacktop again. Hubs not completely disengaging???? wheel bearing giving up the ghost??? whatever. Didn't want to risk further damage so RACQ were called. 25 thousand smokes later the Mack Tilt Truck turned up and took delivery of his "special load" to go back to
Kilcoy.
Back at
Kilcoy, the mechanic scratched his head and said, keep it on the truck it sounds like a wheel bearing ?????? (technical way of saying too hard for me the wife has a roast on) So Bob got a ride home in a real truck (not the toy he calls a truck haha) only to work out there was a couple of bolts, that held the tray to the chasis, had come loose and once these were tightened all sounds fine. Strange how noises travel.
IS THAT ABOUT THE GUTS OF IT BOB???
OH I HAD FUN WRITING THIS. It would have been cheaper for you to buy my camera like I offered Bob. HAHAHAHAHA

Thanks for the memories guy's and gal, I had an absolute ball. Hopefully next time I go back I will get up that
hill. Doesn't look too steep in the piccies, but sitting in the truck looking up was a different story :))))
Embarrased, not at all. It's all part of the adventure.
I am thinking now that a front locker of sorts would be a really good investment, as the tyres stood up to the test really
well. ( no flat tyres this morning)
The assistance I recieved over the w/end was greatly appreciated. Looking forward to the next one.
Cheers Greg.

Pici's never really give the true indication of incline IMO (unless Andrew is taking the shot of course).

Thank's very much Mr Trevor R., Everybody loves" Raymond".They are great pic's but pic's do not alway's tell the "Whole" truth which is there was nothing wrong with the F truck i had a few too many drink's &(i am a tea-totaller) could'nt drive so i had it hauled home. Now back to the gathering i also would like to thank all of those that attended you're company was great & it was good meeting those that i had not met before i just wished it had not been so bloody cold over night, it must have been about zero degree's as there was about 2mm of ice in the back of the f truck at 8 am.

Hi guys, Mark and I were thinking of you all out there and sulking that we weren't able to join you! and we talked about you all and how you must all be freezing while we were in our heated house in bed with our leccie blankets on!
Seems we might have to have a date Bob to meet the F truck! funny how the gatherings were there is Bob, Trev, Perry, us (ok not this time) but whenever there is a gathering and any of us are involved something will always happen make it memorable besides the obvious get together! really looking forward to the next few weeks and we will literally be back on track!
Cheers
Jo

Don't worry Jo,
Bob may have sent his copy into outer limits but I still have the "Original" for all time so you never know when it may turn up hahahahaha.
Wasn't the same out there without you pair. But I am sure some of the tracks really would have tested the Paj.
Cheers, Trevor.

Thank you to everyone for a most enjoyable w/e. Not sure which part I enjoyed the most, sitting around the toasty warm campfire LMAO at the stories being told, or the actual 4 wheeling.
Well done Troll for the invitation to all for starters, and also showing us what a Troll is capable of when some-one that knows what they're doing is behind the wheel, even with those lockers of yours, some of those hills you did were seriously steep!
As for the Jerrycan pilot, am I correct Greg in saying that this was only your 2nd serious outing for you? You did a hell of a job mate, I doubt if anyone else could have gotten that 4by any further anywhere than you did. You do realize though that if you have a need for the winch again before I do then that is where the fines start! LOL.
How the hell a blody great 'F' truck got through some of that stuff is beyond me! Do you do anything the "normal" way Bob? Once again you managed to amaze us by punching that damn 'titanic' through
places it simply should'nt have gone. Ol' Henry would be proud of you mate.
I didn't see much of your driving Johnno as every time we moved off Troll would slip in behind you, something about enjoying the view of your rear end ? Not sure if you should be worried about him mate?
As per usual every time some one needed a hand or there was something to be done, there was Trev, ready willing and able, it's a real pleasure being in your company mate, even if you don't follow me up all the hills. Don't suppose Judy believed that story about those jumping tree's in that
park eh? With no panel beaters open on the way home to hide the evidence, you out of the dog house yet?
Vehicle turn-up for the w/e
GU's x 4
Jerrycan x 1
F-truck x 1
Methinks some of you 'yota owners need to get to some of these outings aswell, as you guys are really being shot down in the points score by the Nissans. It just occured to me that maybe the last few outings may have been a bit rough on that brand, I'm sure we can organize some easier/softer outings for you if you like. LOL.

The tree that out and bit my rear quater panel story was received quite
well, amazingly. Most of it came out with the polish thankfully.
You're right about the too hard for yota's trips we have been doing maybe we should do a trip to Westfield Chermside or would the ramps to level 2
carpark be too much?
Regards, Trevor.

Taking the bait and running..... Hopefully next time I'll be there with the 'cruiser to score a few points. Trevor, I presume your remark about the level 2
carpark was in relation to the maximum heights?LOL. But you guys should make it easier on us 'yota owners; perhaps a 0 - 100kph drag-off with Pezza on his bike, assorted petrol-driven and turbo-dieseled vehicles, v's my 80 series standard diesel. Then we'll see who's boss, LOL
Love to come along next time. Murphie's Law has precluded me so far.

Hi Bware, am assuming you're talking about my push bike to keep it fair :-)))
Looking forward to seeing you on the next outing mate.
