hi all,

Finally crossed the desert, stuck at Mt Dare (that's the pub). If it doesn't rain we'll get to Chambers Pillar tomorrow. Today is the first time I have seen clouds since May and the forecast is for rain on Friday. Tonight the clouds are building and there is spots of rain over Giles and the Olgas according to the BOM site.

Spoke to Ruth at Birdsville and she seemed impressed with my new GPS I've just bought. Croosed on the WAA line, very soft in places, slow going but made the trip across without having to reverse over too many sand dunes.

Time to get back to the serious business, another VB bartender, thats the other bloke at Mt Dare.

Cheers

Hope the grog will last!! More importantly we hope a plasterer and painter get stuck here for a couple of days to work on the new pub :)) The new bar is looking fantastic.

Cheers from Mt Dare

hi Wayne ,
I got back at the end of June . Nothing like your own bed and your own dunny after two months in the swag .
Safe trip ,
Willie .

You used your swag as a dunny for two months?
