Just to let you all know that a large small engine company in
Cairns will no longer retail KIPOR generators. When asked why I was told that the number of returns was beyond a joke so no longer handles them.
Having said that I checked out the "rolls" HONDA 2EI and was most impressed with them especially the statement by the salesperson that they NOW carry a 4 yr w'tee. Not sure how far that goes but it sounds good. The price is $2k + but what I am hearing will make it my choice.
Grrr!!!

The good thing about the Honda's are their quietness in running and easy start. I guess yo det what you pay for although having the word Honda on it tends to increase the price a bit.

Crazy,
Olbis www.olbis.com.au currently have the Engel SHX2000 listed at $1499.00
RRP on this model (according to www.engelaustralia.com.au ) is $1699.00...
My understanding is that Sawafuji Electronics (manufacturers of Engel 'fridges & generators) actually supplies all of the electronics for Honda generators...
The Engel gennies are powered by Honda, so as I mentioned in an earlier thread, similarly-specced units from both makers should be near enough to identical...
I paid over $2000 for a Honda EU20i 3 or 4 years ago, and I'm more than happy with it, but I know which way I'd be leanin' if I was in the market for a genny now...
(Make of that what you will;-)))
Regards, Ed. C.

Buying a known quality product is usually cheaper in the long run, and kinder on the stress levels compared to having something that may let you down when you need to rely on it. (Not finger pointing a any brands). We choose the Honda over the cheaper brands; runs the caravan air con, lightweight, quiet, starts easy easily each time (yes, even i can start it).

Hi Crazy Dog
How was the ride? Catch a fish in
Karumba?
We are stuck in
burketown...raining and roads closed. We were due at
Karumba tomorrow, but dont expect roads open until Monday. Not much food left, library is closed over the weekend, road to muddy for the boat trailer to go fishing...dont know what we will do for the next few days!
Oh
Well
Ellen, Greg and Adam
