I recently installed the steinb. chip on my pathy and it runs great, its installed directly in the injectors and the original connectors go to the wiring that go tho te chip, unlike the dtronic I had in my patrol. (which I think its easier)
the power is awsome and acceleration its impressive... lets see how long the engine lasts??? supposively steinbauer gives me guarantee that if the engine , drivetrain or transmission fails they will replace it(in spain where I purchased the chip they give this guarantee)
the only set back of this chip is that the exaust throws more black smoke if you floor the gas quickly , but when the transmission shifts the gears the smoke goes away( when rpms go down)
has anybody else installed a similar chip?
have they had any problems?

Just fitted the DPChip to my 3.2 DiD Pajero. Cannot give an answer as yet, hope like you that it will work to manufacturers claims. Will let you know in a week or so.

thanks Leroy,
I have noticed extra power already but I will be towing my caravan on the weekend and for me it will be the real test as it is the main reason I opted for this device. A little extra towing power

Drove the Paj from adelaide to Brisbane towing a 2.5 ton Regal Caravan (fully loaded) with the DP Chip installed. The extra power and torque was very noticeble. Fuel consumption was the same as before but it may have something to do with my driving. In my case, I am happy as I was seriously considering trading the Paj for a vehicle with better towing ability.

it cost me just under $1.400 fitted. big dollars I know, but for me it is worth it given that I no longer need to upgrade the vehicle for my towing needs.
