HOLY BEEGEEZUS, found this vehicle in a street machine magazine and went searching on the net for it. Found it here , its a very modified landrover.

6x6 defender but the body is about the only resemblance to the original vehicle. There is photo's at the bottom of the link and dyno charts (in amongst these photo's) show 486 kw at the tyres. That should be enough neddies to get all 6 smoking at the same time hahahaha.

I thought you had to join the airforce to be a pilot, this vehicle probably allows some army personell to "FEEL THE NEED FOR SPEED".

Cheers, Trevor.

3.3ltr twin screw supercharger....if it was fitted to the 3 litre patr...spit spit still hate saying it.....by geezus the blower would be bigger than the engine....never seen that before.....wonder if it would fit....might give it some real needed grunt:))))

I know you hate the word but this thing runs Patrol diffs, makes you wonder why...... Oh that's right, they were the only ones deemed capable enough of getting all that power to the ground. Hahaha.

It is a HUGE blower though isn't it.

No wonder the defence force doesn't baulk at the cost of the Collins class subs, there is obviously a bit to play with in that budget. :-)

Spinning all 4 is a no no and don't count because that's loss of traction ...lol

Oops, I had to slow down reading it then re-read. I got to Performance and thought it had been a standard Landy that had a futch fitted.

I mean after all they had trouble holding it down on the dyno (maybe very close to breaking it) and it is Friday.....

Anyway certainly a monster truck.

I am just a little concerned that with the wheel tyre combination shown in the photos and with all that power and torque an inexperienced driver towing a camper trailer, and with an overloaded roof rack may dig up the dune crests on the next Simpson Crossing. Then there is always the risk of inadvertently hitting one of the switches and locking a wheel just at the critical time on that steep decent in the high country.

There is no mention of alternator capacity either, will it power the fridge? And where do they think they will fit the second battery, shower, GPS, laptop and boat loader?

I am not convinced it is the ideal touring vehicle.......:0))).

LMAO.

With all that power it would only take 20mins to run home (from anywhere in Oz) and have a shower or get another beer from the fridge at home so why worry about the extra's.

Trevor.

Dead right. Pretty serious power going through that drive train though, so I have no doubt they would need that equipment to have any chance of it lasting more than 5 mins.
