I am currently contemplating the LF 240's for a 2.8TD Rodeo but am worried about any adverse effects on air flow for engine cooling. Between the 240's and the control box of my winch you wouldnt even see the grill from front on! Should I go the 170's instead? I've heard the 240's leave them for dead and at $40 more I recon they are better value. Has anybody noticed their engine running hotter etc with 240's fitted? Any tips appreciated

I have them on the front of my GU Moses and haven't had a problem yet. As far as I know the air isn't actually displaced by them, it may just be a little slower getting through the grill. I love them on the front :-)

I had Rallye 2000's right infront of my Patrol radiator, and I started having overheating problems..
Testing whether the spotties contributed, i removed them.
However there was no difference at all, and it was my viscous hub playing up. (plus at the time i was living in Midwest WA, with 40 Degree + temps)
Go for it.

I would have to agree with sentiments above. My Patrol is one of those that overheat anyway, but lights on the bar or not makes sweet bugger all diff IMO.
If you don't do a lot of night driving, the IPF's are a fine light as
well for a bit less dough. If you on the other hand, do a lot of night driving then you would be mad not to buy the L/Force 240's.
Cheers, Trevor.

Thanks for that. The price I got quoted for the 240's is $340. After weighing up the cost of other brands, I couldnt really see much difference and I thought this was to good to say no.
I think I'll give the 240's a go as so far I havent found a case of large lights to cause overheating

Mate had a hilux with a v8 in it and driving hard it used to over heat.He had two large round
driving lights on the front,he removed one light and no more over heating problems.
IMHO its gotta reduce air flow.

I had a 307 Chev in a hilux..and it would overheat when 4x4ing.
In something thats soo marginal in the first place, it may make a difference, but in a regular vehicle, i cant see a problem.

I agree, I think sticking a V8 in a small engine bay is always going to have inherent heating problems. However, large lights probably didnt help either - I am still tentatively confident I should be ok on my little truck - keep the feedback up though

Shopping Cart System Query
G'day Paul,
Thanks for your enquiry. Postage to
Cairns would be approximately $12-
$14.00 if you order through the site as it is calculated
automatically. Otherwise if you order over the phone $12.00 is fine.
Please let me know if I can help further.
Cheers! Dave.
