After my whinge about Nissan see post 35863 I thought I'd better even up the score so to speak. (makes me sound like the ABC)

Case 1
04 Rodeo refuses to start. Towed to Island Coast Holden Tully QLD.
An hour later I get a call to say Injector pump has died and a new one has been ordered from Brisbane will be two to three days.

I explain that I really do need the car back and is there anything they could do.
OK we'll have a look and call you back later this afternoon (this was about 12.30pm)

About 4pm I get a call to say come and pick up the car, we've taken the Injector pump from a new car from our showroom and put it in yours to get you going.

I was gobsmacked all I could say was thank you.

BTW whenI bought the car originally the salesperson was helpful, courteous, and above all knowledgable about his product.

Case 2

January 06, picked up my new F250 from Tully Motors. Informed that the window wheather shields had not turned up, but they did not want to inconvenience me picking the car up as arranged, so could they come out to my place to fit them when they arrived (I'm about 25k out of town) they duly did this the next day.

After a couple of weeks I talk to the service manager about vague front end drifting all over the place. Yes he informs me this is a common problem we know what to do. But it needs a specialised Truck wheel alignment place to do it, the car and 4wd places just don't get it right.

Need to go to Cairns 1.5 hours away, can we fit it around me flying to Melbourne for a week. OK can be done. Cairns Truck Align pick the car up from where I park it at a storage place, do the work and drop it back when finished, for me to pick up on my return.

At the next service at the dealership, service manager comes out to see if the front end is OK now. (It is) He explains that Ford warranty don't really like him putting in what is a expensive kit and a expensive fix but his job is to look after his customers first.

Would I buy from either of these two places again? You bet!

BTW the F250 is great, does all the things bought it to do.

Gonetroppo,

Sounds like good old fashioned service. I guess that these dealerships are smaller operations - my belief is the smaller operations (Generally) provide better service that the large dealers doing 100 or so cars thru the workshop per day.
Good to hear you had good service, it's the old karma story - what goes around comes around. I.E. you will purchase another vehicle from the same dealer.

Good story

Regards

Greg
