Dear Fellow Trekers,
I have used successfully a caravan air foil on my station wagon which attaches to channels that are riveted to the roof rather then fix to gutters because of greater strength and reliability.
My most recent vehicle Ford BA S/Wagon needs the foil attached because of fuel savings although I havent found anyone with the channel mounted type to speak with about their experience with this set up.
I really want to know where on the roof is the strongest area to mount the channels for the frame and foil bacause the channel if mounted on other then the correct spot may result in damage to the roof and possible failure altogether.
And can anyone offer helpful suggestions as to the best or most suitable fittings for my BA ford wagon.
Thanks
Yours in caravaning
Michael M
