Ron
Hi All,
I have a 62 series with 31 10.50 15 all terains. I'm in need of 5 new tyres and would like to upgrade to 33 10.50 15. Mud Terrains for a little extra height and extra footprint. I have Old Man Emu
suspension with a 3" above standard lift in the rear and a 2" above standard lift in the front. I'm finding it difficult to source 33 10.50 tyres other than Bfg"s. They seem to go to 11.50 and 12.50 widths which would mean changing my 7" wide rims to 8" rims. Any suggestions as to what tyre make is available in 33 10.50 15.
Thanks,
Ron.

Change to 8" or even 10" rims.
That's how you get the bigger footprint. Nicer stability and bit better ride.
A bit less fuel economy and speedo reads a little under.
You only need to buy the rims once.

33 x 10.5 are very rare. Simex Junlge trekker and simex centipede do 34 x 10.5 ..but ur looking at big $$$ for competition style tyres.
You would be best upgrading your rims as per the advice above ang going for 33 x 12.5

G'day Ron I've been down this path with the same truck & tyres as you have now.
BFG are the only manufacturer of 33x10.5 R15 i could find as
well, 8'' rims in a 15 are alot cheaper than the 16's at mostly more than double the $$, I bought 15" ROH for $50ea new where as 16'' were $115ea.
Cheers

Ron, I did this 4 years ago and got the BFG All Terrain's in 33x10.5R15 on my FJ62
I asked several tyre sellers at the time, and BFG was the only one that did these sizes.
The only advantage to going with the 16's is the ability to get tyres out yonder if your stuck.
Go for it, you will be glad you did. Just keep in mind the difference in your speedo.
