Getting my rear diff rebuilt at the moment,

From what I have head they are very good and are
miles better than the Toyota unit or any Clutch type LSD for that matter and they will never wear out.
Probably the best thing you can have next to a locker.

You CANNOT get a better LSD than the Truetrac. I used one in my V8 4Runner for several years and have now upgraded to the Electrac, which is a Truetrac that can also be fully locked.
It cost me a fortune but I wanted to retain the brillance of the normal Truetrac LSD for normal useage.
I beg to question Bills comments re noisy when turning and I suspect he actually is referring to the semi lockers such as Lok rites, lokka diffs etc.
The Truetrac is a "LSD" and noise when turning is utter crap.
If you only require a good LSD then its the best.

I agree with OZrunner, i had one in my last hilux and one in this hilux. They are great, NO NOISE at all and they use normal gear oil. Not LSD oil, but you can use that if you want i suppose.Normal toyota lsd's are useless. TRuetrac are the way to go. Ive had it for 4 years now and not a problem with it.
