about twelve months ago i had the root canal about $600 then last month the same tooth was split ,probably from the root canal work done on it , so then an extaction $170 , what a waste of bloody money for one tooth. cheers

I was quoted $1200 for root canal work, and $120 for extraction. Now I have a missing tooth LOL.

If I could go back in time I'd be a dentist, the day before yesterday I lost a filling. So of to the dentist yesterday, yep we can fix that, in the chair for no longer than 8mins.
Filling done, Check up done, no aneasthtic,to reception and $200 thank you very much. So at roughly $20 a minute = $1200 an hour. !!!!!!
Lets say an 8hr day and just five days a week = bugger my calculator just melted.
A liscence to print money, even for having to put up with looking into peoples gobs.

I looked into dentistry a couple decades ago, then found out, at that time anyhow, they had the highest suicide rate of any profession. I mean look at it, people hate going, they hate paying, and you cause them pain and bill them for it. What a day ... (acknowledge the benefit they are giving is long term but i guess that don't count for the moment when you can't even drink water without thinking you're swallowing your own blood).

And, my dentist never had gas, maybe that's the trick.

Can't stand dental bills myself. Partner used to be in army (SAS) and has a lot of dental work done by the army. It seems that 10 years after being out, the weeks in the bush without teeth cleaning and shoddy army dental work have taken their toll. I am sure things have changed now, but not then. Two root canals, two tooth extractions, one root canaled tooth broke in two and fell out. All in the last 12 months.
