G'day 4x4er's, Have a mate who is thinking about fitting a turbo to his 98 Hilux 2.8D. What would you recommend, and is it a good idea? The motor has been
well looked after. Only done 89,000k.

Do it for sure, just dont go silly with boost. Moderate 8 psi is good, but if you get too carried away the Toyota indirect injection heads are prone to crack between precombustion chamber and valves. Turbo'ed
mine at 225000k's and done 30000 with no probs and 15-20% increase in economy.
