I had to hose down the windows to remove the ice, went back inside to grab the briefcase, lunch etc and by the time I got back into the Jerry, more ice had formed from the water I hosed it down with.

The climate control thingy was showing an outside temp of O degrees.

I love mornings like this, they usually turn into a spanker of a day; clear, sunny and brisk. It was only 15 today but with a clear sky and sunshine it was magic.

That's the beauty of Melbourne; VARIETY.

Some bag it, some love it.

Having lived in Townsville for 8 years, it gets damn boring. The same day in day out, with extremely predictable varaitions throughout the year.

Variety is the spice.........

Yeah mate, I was on 2 storey on a roof today and it was perfect. Better than working in summer cause it was cold and sunny, not 45 degrees and sunny. I like QLD for holidays but my conclusion is that melbourne better for working.

Isnt Melbourne known for 4 seasons in one day?
Its great that in Mackay that you dont need a jumper on to go to work, this time of year it is like airconditioning weather except its outside.

What's a jumper, Brian? Must be like my vest, sort of a jumper with the sleeves cut out? Usually chuck it off by 9 am.

Cheers, Rod.

One thing about Melbourne. If you don't like the weather, wait ten minutes and you'll have something different.

It's been absolutely freezing cold up here too.

The other morning it was only 16 when I got up at 6am
It was too cold to sit on the veranda to have my morning coffee, so had to come inside.
Must be this global warming thats upsetting the wheather patterns.

Well I love it, after 5 weeks of 32 plus degrees in Germany and Italy and 39 deg in Milan bloody hot is an understatement, got back Thursday at 0630 am and was determined to wear the shortsleeves till Geelong, did it easy! Mind you the watch formed condensation waiting for the gull bus at Tulla!

Love the cool at least its easy to warm up, bloody hard to cool down

Isn't that the truth Geoff?

I lived in a manure hole called Townsville for eight years. FNQ is so draining, the heat saps your strength. You just can't get cool unless you go inside, lot's to do there LOL. We could only camp for about five months of the year.

Easy to build a big fire to get warm in the bush. Bloody hard to cool down if it's hot.

Like you, we just got back from two weeks in the heat (Thailand). Had a great time, but anything more than a two hour stint outside was a real struggle. Bloody brilliant place however.
