Hello everyone,
I have been trying to find a conversion kit for my Hyundai Tucson 2004 2.7 litre auto but have been told there isn't one. Can one be made?
And after going through the posts on this
forum I believe this is the best place to get answers. Any information would be greatly appreciated
kind regards
Silent Bob

Hi there silent Bob.
I guess you're getting por fuel economy on your Tucson.. I know i do on
mine.
What sort of consumption are you getting on yours?
Cheers

Hello Mark,
Hyundai originally promised a 11.1 litres per hundred, I have never managed anywhere near that. I have a mobile dog wash business and am pulling a trailer around weighing 750 kilos. My average fuel consumption was 16.2 per hundred, out of desperation I have fitted a hiclone to my car and reset the fuel computer and am now averaging 14.5 when I'm not towing, and when I'm towing around 15.2 per hundred
I've only fitted the hiclone two weeks ago and have yet to go on long trips but on the M5 cruising with no trailer the fuel computer drops down to the mid-14's I'm hopeful on drives down the coast I can get maybe 13 .8, I'm not sure if the high clone is doing this job or is just the resetting of the fuel computer
Regards
Bob

Bob,
There is a LPG kit available in Germany for the 2.0L Tucson
Site Link
What fuel are you using? I found premium to give the best economy.

Hello Ed
I have been using premium fuel and paying through the nose for it, but I didn't see
enough change in fuel economy to warrant paying for premium. I've now come back to using standard unleaded.
Unfortunately looks like that we have no option but to use petrol as there are no authorised LPG kits in this country ( I would be quite happy to rip the petrol
tank out and replace it and have the car fully LPG) as I only travel on the tar.
Regards
Bob
