Greetings to all
This is my first post in this
forum so I will make it short.I currently own a 91 RB30 Patrol which I bought new.It has been a mighty vehicle on and off road but my wife and I now want a mid sized 4x4 and we are leaning towards the new Jeep Cherokee.Petrol/Auto.What do you think?
Cheers Craig Anderson

They're very thirsty for their size - used to have one, and friends have one and aren't too happy with the around town consumption. The 2.7L diesel on the other hand is supposed to be quite good consumption wise. Good small-midsize 4WD, and there's a few accessories starting to pop up for them.

Friends of ours have had 2, 1 cherokee, and the other laredo V8 reckons both of them were the biggest buckets of bleep he ever owned and will never touch another jeep full stop, now owns a cruiser for the past 2 years and loves it, the jeeps have crap resale value, he had none stop problems with the Laredo V8 electrical mainly and a couple of diff problems, the cherokee was nore electrical then anything, he did have the petrol not the diesel thristy buggers both of them. In the end it will come down to the $$$ and what you like, no doubt there will be people on here that have had one and probably had no problems at all, I think it's luck of the draw with any of them these days with all the electrical/ computers and stuff they pile into them. Good luck with what ever choice you make any way. Regards Steve M
