Mines averaging 11.7 / 100km with a low of 10.78 / 100km and a high of 13.94 / 100km.
Its only got 13,000 klm on it so it's still pretty tight, above figures are lightly loaded. Worst figures are on
Stockton Beach.
Geoff.

Mine matches Geoff's. Just 7000km on clock. Got in high 10s and low 11s per 100 without full length roof rack and zero load. Now have rack and light internal load - getting high 11s up to 12.2 at last fill. This is 80% highway 15% city 5% light 4WD. Usually cruising at 90-95kmh. Light foot.
Cheers
Chris

HI Tour Boy
Rarely get up that way these days - since making the break from the big smoke. Currently in Shoalhaven but soon hope to be 'no fixed address'.
My experience with this car (like Prado) is 'great car, ordinary Toyota experience due to service and product knowledge (lack of).
Cheers

My Previous work truck was a TD 11 seater, it returned around 14-15 l/100km over the first 15 000 kms.
BUT it was driven pretty hard and spent a lot of time loaded up and off road. It was also driven by a multitude of drivers.

A friends Troopie got 14.8 l/100k from Jervois to Mungarannie, down the
Hay River track in the Simpson pulling a TVan.
My HDJ79 got 15.8 l/100k doing
Hay River and
Madigan Line last month.

... and a good thing I did! Despite thay red landscape, I'm green.
Went for a few km walk north of Goonamillera
waterhole a couple of years back when e got permission to travel up Eyre
Creek (north of the diversion crossing). Figured we got close to Madigan's path. Will get out there eventually to do it proper like.
Getting stuck on top of soft top reminds me of long period stuck overlooking the Colson track with a shovel trying to move what seemed like talcum powder.
You'll have to post a good description of your travels next. Yep another job.
Loved that sunset
Thanks Chris

Hi Chris,
Did the write up on post 35202
I'm happy I had another vehicle with me to pull me back. I don't often get stuck like that. But it was a very sharp tip on the dune. Thought the truck would knock the top off easily, but was a bit surprised when I got over it and the
wheels were all in the air. Then a few dunes later, did the same thing - all good fun.
Our trip may get published in one of the mags - will wait and see.
Cheers
phil
