I see the latest Australia Post stamp series "Driving through the Years" features a FJ60 series cruiser along with the 1917 Ford TY Truck, FE Holden, 61 Mini and HX Sandman Panel Van. Read about it here
Aust post selected it as a typical 4wd of the era.

I can't help but notice that the stupid following comment "It is interesting to note that most 4wd's today are owned by city dwellers". Correct me if i'm wrong but would not country Australia as whole own more 4wd's, honestly i did't here them complaining about their teenage daughters loosing something in the back of a Sandman????? Even Australia post is being political, with just a small swipe as 4wdrivers. At least they picked one of the best 4x4 ever made GO THE TOYOTA'S!!

they are very political......they will not even transport/deliver anything to do with firearms...that includes a single spring, nut bolt or washer

C'Mon Turbo Diesel, arent you being a little too sensitive. If you think Aust Post saying "It is interesting to note that most 4wd's today are owned by city dwellers" is a "swipe" at 4WDers... then perhaps you have been living a very protected life.. Having said that I agree it is a generalisation but I can't see how that comment could be seen as a "swipe"

Yeah i agree it is sensitive, but its jsut funny as to why they say it in the first place, it is a political issue, why say it. I guess i just get sick of the constant bagging!

You could make that "city dwellers" crack about anything:
Most cars, guns, bicycles, chainsaws, axes, golf sticks, caravans, akubra hats etc etc etc are owned by city dwellers.
So what!
