Hi Des, Phil G and all.
I would like to thank the extrordinary assistance I received in last 24 hours from EO members in
Adelaide when I wanted to bid on a replacement Troopy in the auctions there. Unfortunately it ended up being the most expensive TD sold this year and I couldn't go that far.
Des Lexic provided a comprehensive report and background on the vehicle and Phil G emailed a gallery of digital photos that made me feel I had seen the vehicle myself.
Thanks once again, it makes remoteness a purely relative term.
Cheers all
Ian @ Mt Dare

Ian, I see you couldn't go that far as you say. Really if the vehicle is above the market rate, you are better to look elsewhere. There is an established market, and the price is decided not just by the people that bought ahead of you today. There are other others about Ian.

G'Day Ian. Glad to see someone applaud the efforts of those who are "quiet angels" in the background. Personally it makes my day to hear about those prepared to help instead of just knock. Good on ya, guys.
Sorry it ended up being too expensive but when you do get one it will be all the sweeter.

Hi Jim,
Sounds like a great, if not, eventful trip. I wanted to do it the other way from
Eighty Mile Beach down to Alice but stuffed a fuel pump that made a dent in our bank balance and time availablity. Still next time.
You sound ready for a beer or three and get ready to plan the next trip.
Cheers

Hi Ian,
It gave me an excuse to slide away from work early, and snoop around the auctions which is always good fun. Not surprised to went for top dollar as it had over $6000 of extras.
My wife told me she saw a semi drop another dirty one off, so maybe that'll come up next week.
But like you say, if its only saving you a couple of grand, you may as
well buy new.
