We have a 2002 15ft Jayco Freedom pop top with a canvas annexe which we bought new together with the annexe that attaches to the awning. The annexe has given us problems from day one as the awning will not stay attached to the walls on either end.
We had extra tighteners put in the anti flap bars which has solved the problem on the door side. However any slight wind and the other end of the awning just blows
out.
We think the hole drilled in the roller of the awning (by Jayco) may be positioned too far out thus there is not enough of the awning fabric to hold securely in the anti flap bar.
We havent used the caravan much to date as so we just either dont put the annexe up or take it down if it gets too windy.
Has anyone got any idea how we can solve this problem as we are heading of from SA in early October for our first longer trip.
We are not handy ourselves and would need to get someone to correct the problem for us. Jayco dont seem interested and in the past have fobed us off with vague answers.
MAybe someone out ther has had a similar problem and can supply an answer.
MANY THANKS.

Are you in a position to personally take it to Jayco, and block their driveway with it until they are willing to sort out your problem??
Another great example of modern customer service at its best..
I feel for u

Hi there belfastgirl, I would hook it up to the vehicle and take it for a drive to the dealership
park in the middle of the drive and tell them you will move it when they do some thing about it, you have tried being nice and going things about the write way now its time to be a bit heavy, alot of these
places annoy me, like a new car, once yourve handed over the hard earned cash when there's an issue they dont want to know you, Keep on there backs but I think some times the best way to deal with
places like this is face to face and with the procuct there beside you so you can show them exactly what's wrong. Regards Steve M

Hi,
Sorry i cannot offer much help however if its been an issue from start and you have complained before I would go back to whom ever your purchased it from and don't be fobbed off.
Or maybe you could take some photos of the problem and send to Jayco's manager direct and follow it by a phone call and get some answers. Don't accept vague answers.
Any photo's of the problem ??? that we can see
Brian

G,Day
Have you tried asking on jayco.contact.com.au/ being all jayco owners, someone may be able to help. I have a 2006 jayco, we don't have any problems with our awning, the anti flapper bars can tightened so much it would be possible to tear the vinyl. Maybe just a set up issue. Jayco should fix.

Thanks to everyone that replied to our annexe problem. I guess we have been too slack in following up more aggressively with Jayco.
Cheers and Thanks
