You sure this one exists ? Think i was there this time last year and all was closed up ...but would like to hear from others who have been up that way to confirm..not sure exactly from your query which / what 'road ' you are asking about ...maybe you can give afew more details..?

The track into Oombulgurri is pretty hard work from what I have been told but quite do-able if you take your time and your
suspension is in good condition.
If I was you I would speak to the Administrator at the Oombulgurri Community:-

Wyndham. This time of year they would be driving out there rather than flying.

You may remember the 4 part TV series "
Kimberley Cops" on the ABC a couple of years ago. A couple of those episodes were the
Wyndham boys over at Oombulgurri - particularly the search for the lost tourist bushwalker. Gives you an idea of the country.
Post a trip report if you end up doing it - it's not a
well travelled track.
