As of Thursday 3/8, Aldi have it for sale.

No idea if they're any good, I believe they had them for sale a while back.

Aldi have a good returns policy so how could you go wrong? Only downside is they weigh 49 kg.

Just as well that I haven't got the space for one or I'd probably buy it.

I also saw the special come through the spam filter.

Looks like it could be a rough noisy job more for the builder than the camper.

Let us know.

I'm sure Mike will buy one and put it on his scope.

They had these about a year ago for $299.00. I bought one as a power backup for my house and they work well, the noise level is no worse than others. However, they would be a tad heavy to take camping, and who needs 2 Kw unless you want to run a fan heater in your tent... I might add that they have excellent surge capability. Mine can start the pool pump easily while another chinese 3.8 Kw job could not!

Cheers

Would be useless for a lot of fan heaters as they are generally >2000w on high (2100-2200 or 2400w), low setting would be adequate though.....I still find it funny that people buy 2kva gensets thinking they can run a standard kettle or even an urn :-)
I have had people try to explain to me that it will just take longer to boil!! (suppose technically it will take much, much longer :-))

They've also got steel cap boots (7-12) on for $29.00. Bargain!
