Should take possession of a 40 litre bushman fridge in the next week or so. Is there a suitable slide for it or is there an easier way to secure it in the back of the best troopy around Scone.

Bob,

I have an Engel but I am pretty sure the Bushman will fit on the same slide.

Mine is a Black Widow. I bought the slide for about $90.00 three years ago. I have mounted it to a board cut to fit in the rear of the Patrol (shaped around wheel wells etc) this is bolted to the floor using the child restraint anchor and another captive bolt near the back of the car.

The fridge is held onto the slide using four bottle screws. It fits in place either with the third row seat folded up to the side or I can remove the seat completely.

The Black Widow seems to do the job well and is easy to fit, remove and store.

Thanks Duncs
I'll keep a lookout for one. In fact I saw one earlier tonight in the trader, but it was already sold. Should have started looking sooner.

Hi Bob,
I found that a 40 litre Waeco fitted my bushman perfectly but I had to add 3inches of angle to one end, because the bushman is longer than the Waeco.
I drilled holes & added turnbuckles to secure fridge & this works perfectly; I hope this can help you out.
