Hi.
You don't see many vehicles with a bonnet mascot these days. I think it gave you a more personal feel about your vehicle. Ford had them on their top of the range models, Merck's, and a few others. Had a old mack truck once, loved that bulldog on the bonnet.
Cheers Axle.

I asked my mother in law, but she would be in it. Had to untie her and get her off the hood!

ADRs ,protrusions, sharp angles ect ect anything that may hinder the smooth flow of the body over the bonnet ,, best was the Rolls Royce one that seemed to magically disappear when you tried to touch it.

Yes we can blame the bubble rap squad for this one too.
Oh, I liked the one that Holden used to have on the Caprice

huh, hehe, we all know what goes on in the back of those cabs on dark roads when truckies pull over for a rest, meanwhile the missus back home is entertaining the next door neighbour.

That mascot was cholestomy bag Dave's (my bro) idea of a mascot. Strangely enough he always repacked the spade and
toilet paper at the back of everything else !
I thought we were going to be known as the two old travelling
toilet rolls ! :))

Actually I have a Mack bulldog on my cruiser, but it's down between the spotlights so it doesn't siht on the windsceen as I am driving along.
Don't tell Scooby Doo though, what with a 4by, and a bullbar and also a lethal mascot. He wouldn't sleep at night if he knew that .

were not mascots originally on the bonnet so you could lift them after pulling the release latch , cause they only weighed 1/2 a ton ie dodge.cheers
