they are 17 inch alloys on latest 100 series TD GXL ... when i wanted BFG they were not available in 17 inch ..only 16 inch
Toyota at the time said 16 inch rims will not fit the 2006 TD....
Does anyone no if this is true???
I have three 100 series 16 inch steel rims with bitumen tyres that I used for spares when away....so I need to now if I can use them or do I have to toss them in the bin......
(if your nice to me I might even sell them to one of you).....:)

NO 1,2006 100srs has 17" five stud wheels,I think all 16inch rims are six stud but will stand corrected.

Truckies answer was just palin stupid Doug......
every one knows i call the auto association to change wheels...cant see them changing it unless its flat...and i aint going to let all that air out on purpose...cos it'l be a waste of money... i paid in excess of 50k and that includes the air that is now in the tyres now

I think he might have thought like me that the tyre was on a wheel ready to put on the car, to me a wheel is a wheel and a tyre is a tyre being 2 separate items but yeh I see your point , bit hard to just bolt a tyre on ....see ya mate

There is definately 16in 5 stud rims in 8 inch width they are fitted to the earlier model 100 series and 79 &78 series RV vehicles, however I am not sure if they will fit the models with the 'hinged ' front end [independent].

You need the 16 inch rims from another IFS cruiser - they are usually dime a dozen on eBay.

If the 16 inch came off a Live Axle cruiser the off-sets will be different - I guess they would fit (the offset makes a the tyre further away from the hub than the IFS rims), but I have no idea about the steering/stability/camber or other effects.

Ciao for now
Andrew.

Likewise I found that BFG did not make the size.

But the solution is to use another brand of tyre. It is up to that tyre manufacturer to catch up and if it does not want the business then so be it.
