Just thought I would share this with anyone interested.
SWMBO has been on my case about how tired the Patrol has been looking lately, with a lot of 4wding and no time to clean up afterwards (and
water restrictions) the Patrol has been going downhill quickly. So I sent her off shopping for something to bring the Patrol back to life. She come home with the usual Meguiars Polish and something I have never tried before...The Gold Class Trim Detailer (also from Meguiars). Basically polish for the black trim and fender flares.
Well I got stuck in and what a difference. The thing is almost like new and has hidden any "character lines" I had started to accumulate lately. Sadly my "Boys Toy Bush Truck" now looks like a "Shiny Suburban Shopping Trolley". TRUELY AMAZING considering what it looked like Sunday (anyone up at Mt Mee will tell you it wasn't the prettiest car up there !!).
So if you are in the outhouse cause your truck is looking tired, give this a go and you may earn a few browny points !!
Cheers, Trevor.

Yep used it and love it, makes the car look showroom new. I use it on the door rubbers and basically any of the black trim. Love the qucik polish and quick detailer too.

Shhhsshhh !! If SWMBO realises there is more of this kind of gear then I may be polishing for a month and the Patrol may never be released from suburbia again.
Thanks for
the tip on the "other polishes".

Trevor,,i only use Maguiars stuff on the patrol, and have always been more than happy with the results. The polish's really get rid of a lot of " character " lines in the paint work, and unfortunatelly, as you say,,,it looks like a suburban shopping trolley when i am finished.

So do you reckon it would work on anything on the car that is black and paint faded?
Cheers

Jo,
It worked real good on the following, on my car. The side mirrors, back of spotties, mudguard flares, all rubbers around windows and end caps on side steps. So yes I think it would work on pretty much anything black and do a good job. You could always try a bit from the bottle I have and if it works, go buy it but if not, no harm done I suppose.
Cheers, Trevor.

You've sold me on it, will go and buy some. Need to get some black into some of the backend where it has faded.
Cheers
