try Sand Grabba (QLD)(copy & paste).
I'm sure there's others. Will pass on when found.

Super cheap also sell them two types one are quit deep the other probably has about a 1cm edging all the way around, my mate has just picked up the deeper ones but finds them sliding down under his accelerator/clutch so is trying to work out how he will stop that from happening I think he paid about $60 for a set of four. Stephen
What about placing a length of that non slip rubber matting we use in van cupboards? Also used under floor mats on slippery surface (in house).
Another alternative is self adhesive velcro, but that could disfigure the carpet.
cheers

Hi there JJ, yeah he has tried the velcro but wont work. The mats do have a pimple effct on the back of them but not enough to grip the carpet but wont allow the velcro tabs to stick to the back of them. Maybe as you said a rubber mat underneath might be the answer. Thanks for that will let him know. Regards Steve M

Got
mine at Repco & they are Roadgear brand to suit large 4x4's & cost $12 front pair on special & normally about 20 bucks I think & same approx for rear pair. The sides of the tray are about 40mm deep & there are little "pimples" on the reverse so they won't slip & they are more of a stiff rubber than a plastic. They are used by the outback hire car Companies and are referred to colloquially as "Snow Mats" because apparently when you get in with snow on your boots and it melts these trays catch & hold the
water. I looked at quite a few and many have sides that are too floppy, were too small, not deep enough & some of the really expensive ones (Michelin about $75/Pr) weren't any better than the ones I got. The front pair I got fit the GU as if they were tailor made with one edge resting against the tranny tunnel and the other rests against the doors when closed. The back section rests against that raised part of the footwell & they are long enough to reach up the angled section of the firewall. Only trouble is they stink of rubber a bit but I can live with that and hopefully a few more trips and subsequent washes will fix that. You just lift them out carefully and the vacuuming is reduced greatly which is great because I am not fully trained nor passed out on it's use:-)

I can vouch for the Sand Grabba mats.
They are moulded to fit your vehicle exactly. They look good, fit perfect.
I think they are the best thing you can buy, particularly if you do a lot of beach work. Just let the sand dry and it easily vacuums out. Best thing is, you don't get any sand in your carpet.
I paid $313 (12months ago) for front, rear and cargo area of my Pajero. Worth every cent in my opinion.
