Hi All
We are in
Townsville on our way down the coast after travelling out to
Lawn Hill and up to Bourketown towing our 24foot.Jayco
Heritage which is three and a half years old. Had no problems at all with van or 4-2tdi Patrol. What i would like to find out is if any-one knows the Phone No. or address of Simplicity Suspensions or their agents in Qld. or Vic.
I am looking at upgradeing the
suspension for a bit more clearance but the main reason being so i can have the same size
wheels & Tyres on the Van and Patrol.I am not intending to head to
places like
Cape York but would feel more confident on gravel roads in the outback.
Any info would be appreciated.
Duke

If matching
wheels is the primary aim why not just change the hubs/drums?
Much cheaper.

Maybe the other part of the problem is clearance under the guards, and clearance at the back?

Hi Oldplodder(QLD) and Turist (The Original One)
Thanks for your input. Was talking to Simplicity
Suspension today and they couldn't see a problem with them being fitted. The cost for a three tonne
suspension is $2000-60 without tyres and rims, thats with hubs to suit 2003 GU Patrol. I thought that was fairly reasonable. Will check it out when i am down in Melb. in a couple of Mths. Will get one fitted when i get back home to Tassie
Regards Duke.

Hi wheeleybin,
Thanks for your post on my question about Simplicity Suspensions.Measured one up yesterday that was in the
park where we are at the moment. Would have to come down to 15inch
wheels myself but that is not a problem.
What make of Van did you have it fitted to.

Have simplicity
suspension under my 23' Trackvan. Have Nissan hubs fitted so that the rims are the same as the car. No problems with clearance. Excellent for towing, I think the total cost was $2200 for the 3 ton
suspension plus another $480 to upgrade from 15in to 16in rims. Talk to Caravan World at Nambour for any further advice

Hi Duke
I built a frame of 150mmx75mmx4mm RHS and fitted a pantec to it with a tapered wind slip front and it is now used as a work trailer and alss goes behind an MH with a 4x inside and when not inside the 4x can tow it.
Suspension is magic.
Im considering using it on a flat top and upgrading to a 4T for the pan the whole unit is 7.5M long and only weighs 1.36T.
