Our kits are now in production for the 3rd battery.
I would like to see the photo's to compare designs. We relocated the fuel filter and fitted a large 330mm tray to take a 100 a/h battery. We also had to fit a brace to the side guard for extra strength. I was not comfortable with the strength in the wheel arch.
We now have a very robust kit.
Regards Derek.

I Still dont understand the need to fit a 3 battery to the 100 series why not use a high capacity n70zz in one side and a trojan deep cycle in the other with a redarc controller?? I have done this conversion about three or four times and the owners have been rapt with it?

Hi Sam
I'm sure the owners of the conversions you have done are happy
The one thing I have learnt in all the years of trying different set ups is there is no right or wrong set up it all depends on individual use and expectations
Two n70z batteries wired in parallel as aux and third one as main start, run via Redarc is a set up that I am happy with, it runs my 85 ltr Weaco very
well
When camped for extended time I find a Cristies 50amp Battery charger, charges my set up very quickly
Different set ups for different folks
Cheers

You are correct I just dont see the need to take up anymore room in the engine bay.

Thanks for all the piccies and details.
I have looked at the ARB 3rd battery setup which only allows for a smaller (50ah) battery in a powder coated battery tray. The apparent reason is that a larger battery (70 - 100ah) wont fit in the ARB tray and is heavier and the guard that supports it all may fail under all the weight. (sounds possible)
I have been advised many times not to change the 2 factory fitted battery wiring setup as this may void my warranty with toyota.?? (lso possible)
I think the safest option is the smaller third battery and to be careful if staying put for too long without a reacharge..... or the christies charger sounds great, but a bit dear in $$$.
Cheers

I cant see any reason why it would void you're warranty with toyota but I'm sure they will try and tell you it will It doesnt void youre warranty if you fit a nice new n70zz to you're 79 series (
well it will void the warranty on the battery). So basicaly thats all you're doing you just have to make sure you have a battery that matchs the capacity of the 2 stanadard ones.
