Hello folks,
Do any of you have a recent model Reefer DTV fridge?
I am just wondering about the specifications of this model. They do not have any details on their website.
I am after height, depth, width and also average power consumption.
Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.
Regards
Kelvin

Kelvin, I've got a DTV 70. Dimensions are 615 mm high, 570 mm deep, 500 mm wide. These are as measured by me, so might be 1 or 2 mm out.
I've never measured the power consumption, but estimate it to be in the order of 60 to 65 AH per 24 hours with day time ambient temp of around 24 to 27 degrees.
I've found it to be a great fridge. It went extremely
well on our recent trip to
Kimberley, NT and Gulf. Power consumption goes up in the tropics, particularly when you can not find a shady spot, but that is true of any fridge. We carry ours in the back of a dual cab Hilux, under a canopy.
We gave it a caning on the trip. We also carry a big fibreglass esky. I kept it cold with 2 litre milk bottles filled with
water and some Techni Ice. Every day (sometimes twice a day), I rotated bottles and sheets, so it was always freezing
water.
IF you are after more info, give the company a ring. I have found them to be very helpful.
Also, power consumption is, to some extent, covered by how you set the fridge. I generally run
mine to switch on at 6 degrees and off at 1 degree (yes, you can be that specific with this fridge). This is air temp, so the contents stay at around 2 to 3 degrees.
