I have got lots of water in my Warn XD9000... So i dismantled it today so i could clean it all up and regrease the gearbox and change motor bearings etc etc,,,,
So anyways,,,, i cant remember exactly how much preload to put onto the brake disc when i set the coupling up and fit the circlip??????.....

Any help would be greatly appreciated....

So hows my luck,,, i didnt even use it once since new about 4months ago.....
Today i pull it apart and check out the armature and fields and the fields are shorting to earth with the 240volt series test lights...Once they were dried out..
As in smoking.....

from warn:
Yes, the brake is timed at the factory to ensure it functions properly. When you removed it from the drum it unwound, so to ensure it works properly follow these steps.

Hold the brake assembly so the cams are facing up.
Rotate the moving can 180 degrees, ½ turn counter clockwise.
Now slide the brake assembly into the winch drum.
