We sold our old camper trailer yesterday.

The chap and his wife were lovely types. They put a deposit on it Saturday and were to pick it up this morning. I insisted on leaving it setup until their return so that I could show them how it operated.

I really loved that camper and was so happy to see it go to a couple who would cherish it. I then scrounged around and chucked in some stuff that I thought they could use.

Upon their arrival we gave them the full demo and explained all that we could, so that they would enjoy it as we had. We then took their cash.

Bugger me dead, he then produces a half a dozen bottles of nice red.

Nice warm feeling.

I don't get it...he gave you the cash and he produced the booze, shouldn't you produce the booze.

Last Tuesday a case of Cabernet Merlot I bought from an on-line auction house arrived at work. On the way home I stopped to pick up some PA equipment I needed and the guy (an ex-workmate) wouldn't charge me for it so I gave him a couple of bottles of the red. So far so good.

On Wednesday night I opened a bottle - it was the worst rotgut I had ever tasted! So Thursday it was off to the bottle-shop, fork out for some decent red-ned and hand it over with apologies. So be warned, never give a gift of wine until you have tasted it! (About 4-5 bottles should be enough to be sure).
