If I need animal friendly mate, I can just go out in the paddock. Plenty of animals there. Don't own a dog and all cats are called like the shopping chain. TARGET Cross hairs rather than concentric circles.

Nick is in Melbourne for meetings....... His dog camps here when he goes camping.

Hi Ray,

No dogs allowed at Port Campbell Caravan Park or Peterborough Great Ocean Rd Tourist Park. Princetown camping reserve at the football ground allows dogs as does Peterborough Coastal Caravan Park, but don't allow them to wander into national parks as you will be fined! ( the last 2 are basic facilities) Don't know about other parks between Geelong and Lavers Hill. Have been told by others with small dogs that as long as they keep them on a lead and they don't yap they will be allowed to stay almost anywhere, depends on the mood of the operator. Phone ahead and test the waters.

Camps Australia Wide (3 we have), is available at book shops and good newsagents gives a good breakdown actually, Heather has discovered.

There are quite a few free campsites like Dandos near Gelibrand with long drop toilets, where dogs are permitted. Nice tree cover too
