Hi Vanni,
The Workmate is the entry 4x2. Try searching at the following links... the 4x4 ones will be marked as such. The Hilux surf is also available if you'd like a smaller wagon.

carpoint.ninemsn.com.au/

Good luck with your search.
Regards,
Rod.

I like 4 runner or Hilux 4runner but are these cars reliable? I heard about some problems with head valves. Which type of motor will be reliable?

Hey mate,
I don't know a lot about them except the following: The 4runner was sold in Oz with pretty much the same engine options as the Hiluxes which I believe are very reliable. The Hilux Surf was never sold here by Toyota and is only sold as a
grey import. The Surfs have the choice of 2.4 and 3.0 litre turbo diesels and of these I have heard that the 3.0 is the best choice as the 2.4 has problems.
As I said though, it's only what I've heard second hand.
Cheers,
Rod (Landcruiser 80 series DX diesel)

As far as sleeping inside you would be better of using a tent unless your not taking much stuff with you.
Now Vanni we're not going to be able to answer every possible question for you, otherwise your not going to have any fun if there isn't any surprises..!

Well the fun you're talking about I hope it is not a broken engine after a couple of
miles. That's why I ask about some reliable model.

You need to have the engine checked by a mechanic or the RACV, we can't guarantee you a reliable engine when we haven't seen or inspected the car ourselves. Whilst we can help you pick a reliable model it still needs to mechanically checked before you buy it, just the same in Italy or any other country, Australia is no different. Some cars will have been treated differently than others by their owners, it is silly for you to expect us to take that risk away for you.

I know this mate, someone told me before about the RACV inspection. I don't want you to take anys sort of risk, don't worry mate. I just want to find a used model with the skills I need for the budget I have, after that I'll have it checked by a mechanic before buying it.

Hi Vanni,
I drive a 4 Runner with the 2.8Litre diesel motor. I find it very economical. It uses about 9 litres per 100Kms city driving and about 7.5 to 8 litres on the highway. There are many good ones for sale for much less than the 15k you have to spend.
Good luck with your move.
From one Italian to another. I have many relations in Milano and in the north of Italy.
Keep in touch if you want
Cheers

Hey Alex, if u mean your signature to be like the player of Juventus and our national team it has to be written "Alex Delpiero". Anyway I have a question for you, do u think that I could convert a 4runner V6 to LPG. Is it possible with that engine, I mean this does not cause problem to this engine. Hey Alex send me some picture of your car if u can. sonny_mac_70@hotmail.com

Its highly likely there will be long waiting lists for LPG conversions. The govt is taliking bout $2000 subsidies for those who want to convert to LPG.
There has already been waiting list in most areas for the last 12 months.
