Received in my mail this morning an undated personal letter from Peter Beattie ,Premier of QAueensland, with the opening paragraph
"I have called a general Queensland State Election for the upcoming month"
Saw on Sky news that Premier is to meet
the Governor at 10am and as I type it is now 9.50am.
Wonder whether there will be some goodies like a state contribution, like W.A., for lpg conversion.

Looks like now is the time to write to the politicians and ask for things like:
Money for national parks,
Their stance on bullbars,
Modifying vehicles,
etc...
It's the only time they'll listen

>> Get it in writing.
They will deny it ever existed, or was written by them..

When it comes to asking a politician for something tour wasting your time, I tried that with Richard Head P Lucas and got no where so now i'm in WA and compared to Qld it seems years ahead

Try to get the opposition in your state to do as has been the case for Victoria to get the Four Wheel Drive Association agreement and agree to repair the fire tracks so they are passable again. The Victorians know that in order to defend against fires they need to be able to get to difficult terrain and so they have worked, negotiating better access for the High Contry future for us. I have seen copies of the policy documentation guaranteeing access.

It’s great to see that Premier Pete confides in you all
well before
the Governor or the media and I hope you repay him with your Vote.
