80 Series Cruiser Wagon - Upgrade question

G'day,
Can any forum user help me with advice about the difference l would experience by installing other types of shocks or springs to an 80 series. any suggestions from people who have noticed differnce with vechicle. handling, wheel travel, etc Cheers &Thnx B

There are plenty of suspensions to look at, but Old Man Emu is the best IMHO because they offer you a choice of what you need, load or comfort, diesel or petrol weight, etc etc.

I have a 96DX with OME shocks,springs and castor bushes, I think it transforms the ride. ( to excellent) It is a little harsh when empty but loaded it rides very well. I did have tjm set-up with XGS shocks and found these faded badly when going across the simpson and were shocking on the road between Big red and birdsville. The XGS shocks were not fitted correctly from the beginning and before the simpson trip the fronts came loose, when they were removed for repairs they would not return when pushed down, TJM would only replace after much arguing and then took about 3hrs to do the job, would not use it again. I think ARB is worth the money. Hope this helps you out.
