I have recently been contacted by a fellow poster here on ExploreOz who has a problem with his ZD 30 intercooler leaking. I remember in the past a number of posters had similar problems and some had replaced their intercoolers with new ones.
I have done quite a bit of intercooler work in the past and was wondering if anyone had one of their leaking intercoolers sitting in their shed somewhere. If possible I would like to buy it and look at the possibility of removing the endtanks and getting a custom I/cooler core made up and rewelding the tanks onto a new (and probably much stronger) I/cooler core.
If anyone has one they no longer want it would be appreciated if I could get it to help this fellow poster out.
Regards Andrew.
ps: I'm in
Melbourne.

That's OK Steve, I might see if my local Nissan dealer has any old ones sitting in their workshop and try and get it happening so you have nice "non leaking" intercooler on your Patrol.

Gday
There are people in this world who do things for other people without looking for a kick back, as you so call it.

Oh gee I so was deadly serious as
well. Do you know what ' ;-)' meant at the end of the sentence???? Nope didn't think so. I was more than happy to mention awill4x4 to steve in the other thread because i have seen pics of his work and thought that he may be able to help. This is what people do on this site. People ask questions and others office 'free' advice. And more to the point I would as
well as many others who own 3.0l patrols would like to know if a better intercooler could be made.

Mine turned out to be a leak at the manifold, a couple of studs and nuts replaced and $216 sluiced from my back pocket and we're all rosy. I was going to get
mine welded by the best alloy welder in the South West but dint need to WOOHOO
