Took a couple of days off last week and travelled down the Duncan Rd to Halls C reek then into the Bungle Bungles. Fantastic few days and the scenery down the Duncan Rd is totally different to anything I've seen in the Kimberleys. Also very isolated - only saw 4 vehicles in two days. Like to hear any one else's comments on this trip.

Gday Westskip

Did a family trip a couple of years ago - really enjoyed it and want to do it again soon. Camped by the Negri river, and also at Marella Gorge. When we went, only thing we saw were 4 or so 4x4's, and a few Road trains full of cattle. There are quite a few Cattle Trains around at the moment, travellers beware, they put the wind up you on blind corners.

Next time we go that way we want to go east insdead of west at the Buccannon highway, and have a look around the Top Springs/ vic river escarpment country. From all reports its really nice along there as well

Cheers Andrew

PS are you local (?)

Probably not 'til next year at this rate, may combine it with a trip to Darwin. I've got to do a bit of work on the house...most of my family camping is probably over for this dry.....getting a bigger shed though!

On about the 6, 7, and 8th of October, I am planning a bit of an exploritory trip from Dommett across to the keep. There is a few places along there I'd like to check out. Wife and kids will be in perth so at this stage it will be just me and a mate, although a couple of other cars may get involved. Not sure how family orientated the trip will be, it may be great, but I want to check it out before I take the Kids

Having said that, you (and your family) are more than welcome to come.

Cheers Andrew

PS did you get the quote for OL rear wheel carriers from Darwin - they claim product prices will go up by 5% for orders placed after tomorrow.

There is a couple of EX OZ travellers been in touch with me and will be in town around the 6th to the 11th of September. Maybe we should organise a bit of an EX OZ get together, either river or 4x$ based.

(4X$ was a typo - but probably true)

Hi Andrew

Yes, we would love to have the time to travel east from there. We also camped at Negri River but it was very dusty from cattle. Would have been better to camp at Behn River.

Sorry, we're not local. Just visiting our son in Kununurra for a few weeks before heading on for DCarwin next week the down to Adelaide and back home to Perth.
