Hi, I am looking at a new TD Prado. I am interested in the "real" fuel consumption figures I would expect to get. Any info would be appreciated.
thanks

Thanks Stan, are you sure on the date? you are the first person to give me a actual month as opposed to the standard in a few months. I have been hearing that one for 6 months now.

Spoke to my Toyota dealer contact who has been telling me Oct build and Nov supply in Aus. He tells me that they have had to make some changes on the production line and it will now be Nov build and just pre Christmas supply in Aus.

I got my TD Prado March this year have done mainly city driving. Currently averaging around 12l/100km. I manage around 1480 in a full
tank.
Still waiting to take it off-road. Maybe in mid Sept........can't wait.

Larry,
I'm about to do a 1600km straight through highway drive with my May 06 TD Prado. I will let you know how it goes, at this stage we also have been doing around 12l / 100km. I don't expect that it will change a great deal.

I've just returned from a
Brisbane return, and averaged 12L/100km not towing. Occasionally 11. Auto box and all.
When towing the CT it goes to 14-16L.

Good figures here.
I can't seem to get any better than 14 litres per 100 in my 05 td auto.
Absolute best was 12.6 per 100 on a trip.
Keep them under 100 km per hour and they are much better.

2004 TD manual with 70,000 on it. Has averaged around 11.8 with rural driving. With C/T in tow it goes to around 14.5-15. In manual form it can struggle a little down low when off road eg. out of steep gullies. i reckon an auto would be fine. I just shift to low range to avoid riding the clutch.
