Just having a read and found that "FACTOnly female ducks can quack!".
Not true.
Surely someone here's bread/hunted ducks to verify.

While I dont breed or hunt ducks can confirm you are right - It is not true - ie a load of quack
....Though in some species females and males have a different call eg Australian Shelduck (also know as Mountain Duck) Tadorna tadornoides - Voice - load calls often in flight - male gives deep harsh nasal buzzling grunt or honk; female has a higher call though with similar nasal tone, ; ank-aank or anganker".

Pacific Black Duck - Anas superciliosa - Male ,a quick "rhaab-rhaab" of varying strenght; in varying strenght; in warning a load extended 'rhaaeeb'. Female typical loud duck quackings of varying strength.
