Anyone know where in Brisbane i can buy checker plate aluminium approx 2-3mm thick?

Just about every sheet metal shop I would think. Perhaps not in Queensland. LOL but even close to my home here there are two small ones.

Brisbane Tank Manufacturers in Canaught Street Sandgate/Deagon (cant remeber exactly which it falls under) on the northside is a great place to go. Helped me out real well with 2.5mm plate alloy for my roofrack and was cut exactly to my dimensions for a reasonable price. Although this wasn't checker plate (I wanted flat sides so I could put stickers all over it) this was available as well. Check them out in the Yellow pages.
