Hi there all I want to pick your brains
there are many
camping guides on the website
shop here some of which are natonal and some by states.
Can any one tell me how they have found the guides that they have that feature on the sits
shop.
We are looking at traveling around with our new camper trailer with a trip in to south oz early in the new year.
Thanks
Jason

Camps Australia Wide 3 is essential for Australia wide travel. We often find our own spots, but since having "Camps3" we don't stress about driving and not finding anywhere. We can set our time frame to look for a spot, but say if we don't get something between here and "XXX - site in Camps 3", we will stop there. The Jan Holland "Priceless Campsites" series for WA and NT - haven't really had the opportunity to use yet, but appear to have more spots than Camps3.
Boiling Billy Publication for Tasmania had less than Camps3. It did have more detail of in particular national
park type of sites, so we used it in conjunction with Camps3, could have easily done without it.
All were purchased from ExplorOz.

HI Jason,
Our 4WD club has put together a combination
camping / activites planning reference. The current primary area of focus is SE NSW and it also has good Flinders coverage. I think its a good thing but I am biased :).
Its available from www.lrc.org.au/cgcorner/web/index.htm
Its compiled from a 4WD and Touring perspective. All the infomration is collected by clubs members who have actually been to the locations.
It covers :
Attractions
Campgrounds
Heritage locations
Recreation areas
Restspots (often listed in other guids as
camp sites).
4WD trips
Enjoy ya trip.
Paul.
