I always assumed that was a deal struck at the car yard level, and has nothing to do with Toyota themselves.
Just depends who the yard has dealings with.
I could be wrong though....
Cheers,
Chris

They started sending our rubbish when they moved away from the PTO driven to electric driven. Many years (34 yrs) ago I had an FJ45 LWD ute with a genuine PTO winch fitted. It never failed. Snapped a cable once too which I I rejoined it with an 18" splice which never failed.

I'll throw another vote in for the genuine Toyota PTO.
I've owned a couple of them over the years and pull! I once pulled my cruiser and 7 other vehicles (not all at the same time) up a snotty greasy
hill.
We broke one shear pin and the PTO winch never batted an eye.
I totally agree with Rod W, wish they'd fit my new Troopy.
Geoff.

To answer your question Breno Toyota use the X9 Superwinch on the Cruiser fitted at the factory or at the dealer depending on whether you order the car or buy from off the lot.
I have one on my Disco, great winch i think never had a problem.

I also have the X9 fitted by the dealer. Used it a few times and it is OK. Its also been through plenty of
water and mud.
