My GU 2.8 tdi recently developed an intermittent miss so I decided to have an injector service....the beast has done 200000km now and they haven't been touched so it's about time I'm thinking. Got a quote from a local (and reputable) diesel crowd - $700 + GST ...... is this about right?

Considering doing the same on mine - 135,000. Have seen many injectors advertised for around the $70.00 mark exchange - but not specifically the 2.8. Will watch this thread with interest...

Cheers Andrew

I doubt that at that price they will be new.

That is actually the normal price for exchange injectors in which you get new nozzles and they recalibrate them.

Check www.hiflo.com.au, they now make new injectors for some makes but not for the RD28T.
New injectors for the TD42 are just over the $500 mark.
