Appin Clean Up Day

There is a clean up day planned for Appin on the 14 October 2006

At this stage the day will include meeting at My4x4 at 1/33 Stanley Rd Ingleburn on the morning of the 14th for a photo opportunity for the papers than heading in convoy to Appin for the day.

All participants will sign on at My4x4 before the start of the day and all participants will receive a voucher for a free BBQ back at My4x4 from 430pm onwards in the afternoon. There will be plenty of people keen for a few drinks (strictly BYO) with some background music, 4wd dvds playing and maybe a race or two on the slot cars.

There will also be a travel ramp at My4x4 for you to test the flex out and take some pics.

All enquiries should be sent to cleanappin@my4x4.com.au or PM Tiny on the OL board.

The link to the post on OL is Site Link

In the meantime please send you expression of interest to cleanappin@my4x4.com.au or turn up to my 4x4 1/33 Stanley rd Ingleburn on Saturday 26th August from 530pm for a meeting.

Please also distribute this via email, or post on any forums 4wd related or take to your club.

Everyone is welcome and we will have local media as well as 4wd mag media there on the day to get this out there in the public eye.

This is all about helping out local 4wd recreational areas and to try and help the general public understand we are not all feral hoons.

Thanks
Tiny

Just told SWMBO to chalk it up in the diary, For some funny reason she said that I'll have to attend by myself as she wants to relax before the baby is born on the Monday.
What gives, what better way to relax than mix it with some fellow minded people and clean up the environment that we will share with bub number 2

Hmm?
Will be interesting to see if the media we attract is more interested in whipping up a quick and easy road hog behemoth story or wether the police will jump on it to add to there vehicle roadworthiness defect day!

Got to be positive though! @#*"!

Funny, I've noticed a few 4bys on the side of the road lately getting the once over from Mr Plod. Thankfully, they have all been the heavily 'modded' type.

Hello to all at Ozexplore’
Thought I would register and introduce myself
I am, by default I should add, organising the Appin Clean Up Day
We have yet to receive approval from Department of Lands but still working at it

There is meeting planned tonight at my4x4 at Ingleburn. NSW to discuss details and elect a committee to spread the work load with organisation

At the moment it is looking like being a multi-club day late October early November
It will be a fun day and we a expecting a huge turn out of up to and maybe over 100 trucks
Other community groups will also be helping us on the day
There will be prizes and giveaways, a BBQ lunch is planned for all participants

It will need to be strictly club members only in order to satisfy insurance requirements
We are working on ways for non-club members to join in, more in the future

4WD and main stream media will be there on the day as well as doing some articles before hand
In some respects the clean up is secondary and it is about positive exposure for the 4wd community with main stream media

Email cleanappin@my4x4.com.au to register your support

We are working to have website up and running shortly

The day is like being bigger than Ben Hur
So post you support

Thanks in advance for your support
Wayne
