Hi all

just a note to let every one that if you ever need to ring the above CVP in Exmouth WA.
Recently on the passing of my mother we had to get in touch with my wife's parents who were staying there. When we got through to get a message to them, we thought we would get an answering machine as unfortunately it was before business hours his response when told what we called about was " THEY WILL STILL BE DEAD IN AN HOUR".

It is so disappointing that some one that lives off the money that the tourists bring in that he could show such cruelness at such a devastating time in our lives.

regards

Kevin

We stayed at one of the van parks in town in Exmouth a few years back and found the proprietor to be just as affable as the one you mention. Still, I might be the same, having to deal with some of the absolute wankers that call this country home!

He must be related to the proprietor of the Roebuck Bay CVP in broome !!! A grumpyer person I have not met!

Sorry to hear of your loss, and yes, carma begets carma

Condolences Kevin. There certainly are some horrible people around as you and no doubt others including nonon have found.
The lemon sucker from Roebuck Bay CP is a shocker alright.

Thankfully they seem to be in the minority though.

Absolutely inexcusable.

'Inside Cover' of the West, letters to the editor, 720 talkback, Liam Bartlett, Today Tonight etc

People (?) like that should be publicly exposed for the pricks they are. They also have no place in the WA tourism industry.

My condolences to you and your family Kevin.

Hi Kevin , sorry about your sad loss.We have stayed at the lighthouse many times and each time we have a run-in with the proprietor , he should'nt be running a holiday venue ,better suited to a prison. He has no regard for his "paying guests"
We were cleaning fish one day when he bellowed over ( so everyone within earshot could listen ) that we were in the desert and we were using too much water ! We were gobsmacked to say the least.
All the best Pet.

Kev i live locally, thats the second complaint i have heard in the last week or two about the owner of this particular CP, its the general attitude by the managers of the CP that seems to be the problem, unfortunately that will not deter people from stopping there. When I read your post I thought what an insensitive bastard.

Cheers

Is there a caravan park association you could report him to (WA/National)???

Tourism WA or someone????

He obviously won't change his tune unless he is forced to from "above". Might be the push he needs to get him to sell the CVP to someone who is a little more "customer oriented".

Thats disgusting!

My condolences on your loss.

My Uncle passed a week ago, and if I had have received such a response I would hate to think what I would have wanted to do to the guy.

I love exmouth, but I wont be stopping at that park again.

We stayed there some years ago, nice company from fellow campers (the wintering up north set). Their message system was poor though. We had family needing to contact us urgently, and thought they were passing the message to be delivered straight on to us (we didn't have mobile phones back then). The message was just put up on the board in the office, so badly spelled, that i didn't know it was for us, when i went to the office by chance. Very poor service, in a lovely location.

Condolences on your loss Kevin.

Make an effort to go and personally visit them, get there at 4am just to wake him up and smash him in the face when he opens the door
