SNIPS
Can't really help but maybe ask an Auto Electrician and more than likely it will be controlled by computer

It can be cancelled by anyone with a Tech 2 analyser. Just plugs in to the On Board Diagnostics (OBD) connector, usually located under the dash.
I suspect there are other ways though.

When you turn the ignition switch on, the dash flashes a message service engine check. I think if you go into mode, you can switch off the service light there.

That is possibly your most high tech solution to date.

look what rubbish Leroy and Phantom (their reply below) tell him do...for goodness sake who reads manuals, and the method is too darn hard anyhow!

look in the manual. there is a proceedure for the VT to stop the 'service 120,000km' flashing.

Hi Dave,
This is my first response as a new Member.
You hold down the two arrow buttons on the mode switch and turn the ignition on whislt holding them down. It will chime after a couple of seconds. After the chime hold down the set button and it will chime again. Service light off.
Hope it works for you!
